PhD in Economics (University Barcelona, 1992). Professor of Political Science and Public Administration at Pompeu Fabra University. His research mainly focuses on the analysis of public policies, with special emphasis on regulatory policy and regulatory governance. He has been a visiting fellow at the Copenhagen Business School, the Australian National University, the
WZB Berlin Social Science Center, the University of California, San Diego, and the University of Konstanz. From 2005 to 2010 he was co-chair (together with David Levi-Faur) of the ECPR Standing Group on Regulatory Governance. He is currently director of the Institut Barcelona d¿Estudis Internacionals (IBEI), an inter-university research institute devoted to international studies.
